Before comparing totals, ask each installer to quote the same job. Use this checklist for PPF, tint or a combined installation. It is an editorial worksheet; the answers should come from the business doing the work.

Identify the product and the scope

  • Write down the vehicle model, year and relevant body or glass differences.
  • Name the film brand, exact product and finish or tint variant.
  • For PPF, list every panel and any partial coverage.
  • For tint, list each window, including whether roof glass is included.
  • Identify any product substitutions that require your agreement.

Separate the work from the extras

Request separate lines for old-film removal, surface preparation, the new installation and optional treatments. Ask whether taxes, agreed disassembly and disposal are included. Record the currency, quote expiry and payment schedule.

LLumar’s PPF FAQ states that dealer pricing includes installation labor and varies with coverage. It also says product availability can vary by region. A global product listing therefore should not stand in for a local written offer. Source: LLumar pricing and availability guidance.

Ask how the handover works

  • When will the vehicle be ready, and when should you return for any agreed check?
  • What preparation or existing condition will be recorded before work starts?
  • How will the selected product be identified on the invoice?
  • Which written care instructions will you receive?

Get the support terms in writing

Request the actual warranty document, the party handling claims, registration requirements, exclusions and any separate workmanship terms. Ask who pays for removal and replacement if a claim is accepted. A warranty duration alone does not answer those questions.

Save the quote, agreed scope, invoice and handover photographs together. When an offer changes, ask for the revised version before comparing it with the others.
